About the Property

This caravan is a well-equipped 38’ 2 bedroom mobile home sleeping 2 in the large bedroom (king size bed) and 2 in bunk sized beds in the small bedroom.  It has gas fired central heating and double glazing. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. In the comfortable lounge there is a flame effect electric fire, a Smart 43 inch TV including Netflix and Disney+.

There is a main shower room with toilet, and an additional toilet and washbasin attached to the master bedroom – which has the benefit of lots of storage, and a king size bed. The smaller  bedroom has twin beds and storage space also.

Free Wi-Fi available. All gas charges, electricity, water, bed linen and duvets are included in the charge made.

There are patio doors, which open onto a decking area with outdoor seating. The position of the caravan is very close to the reception area, launderette and drying area.  The spacious site is off the main road, has an environmental award and there is a designated dog walking field.

River Valley Country Park is well situated to explore West Cornwall. The towns of Penzance, Helston, Camborne and Hayle are all within easy reach. Penzance/Newlyn is famous as a maritime and fishing centre and for the Newlyn School Of Art in which local fishing scenes and people were often depicted. Helston is associated with the ‘floral dance’ and nearby Is Flambards Theme Park. The Camborne area is particularly linked with mining history heritage and the famous Cornish inventor Richard Trevithick.

Places of special interest include Lands End (18 miles approx), St Ives – home of the Tate Modern Art Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum (10 miles approx) and world famous sites of St Michael’s Mount at Marazion (3 miles approx) and Minack outdoor theatre at Porthcurno (15 miles). In recent times the coastal area between St Ives and St Just in Penwith has been used as locations for the “Poldark” series due to the atmospheric and well-preserved mining sites at Geevor and Botallack, and the Nationat Trust has completed the restoration of Godolphin House (5 miles).

Slightly further afield are the County town of Truro and Falmouth, home of the National Maritime Museum and Newquay the “surfing capital” of the UK. For those who want to enjoy the waves closer to the site the beaches at Praa Sands (south coast) or Gwithian (north coast) are probably the best – both about 10 miles away. Other great beaches can be found at St Ives, Porthcurno, Sennen and the evening dog-friendly beach at Long Rock near Penzance, but our favourite is the closest at Perranuthnoe (3 miles) as it is small and compact which made it great for our children. Walkers can choose which bit of the SouthWest Coast Path they want to sample and details of local walks are easily available at the site or local shop at Goldsithney.

We try to leave details of local hostelries and restaurants at the caravan – West Cornwall is well served by local food and drink producers and providers. Detailed information of local amenities and places of interest can also be found at the site reception.

We can reassure guests that the van will be comprehensively cleaned between bookings and fresh bed linen provided.  PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL of our caravan and our hospitality.  When your visit has come to an end please leave the accommodation in the condition you would like to find it, NOTE THAT IN ADDITION TO THE BOOKING PRICE THERE WILL BE A £50 FEE WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED IF THE CARAVAN IS LEFT CLEAN AND TIDY.
