About the Property

Lovely 6-berth static caravan sited on a beautiful seafront location in northeast Kent. Available on a weekend or weekly basis from 1 March – 31 January (the site is closed throughout February).

The caravan has a master bedroom with kingsize bed, wardrobe and ensuite toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe. Sleeping for two more guests is available via a put you up bed under a sofa in the lounge.

The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and second toilet. There is plenty of shelving for towels, etc.

Our kitchen is fully equipped and stocked, with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils all provided.

The lounge diner has plenty of seating to relax in. Free high-speed wifi is available, as is a TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime and a mini music system with DAB radio, CD player and USB connection. Many power sockets are fitted with USB connections, so you won’t need to bring chargers, although you will need your own charging cables.

Outside, there is new gated decking with table and chairs, along with a parasol for shade on sunny days. A gate padlock can be provided for additional security if you have young ones.

Bed linen and towels can be provided at £10 per guest.

Beach towels available for hire at £5 each.

The site, Seaview in Whitstable, is right on the beach and separated only by the sea wall. Whitstable and Herne Bay town centres are both three miles away. Canterbury is about eight miles south.

The beachs here are shingle but if you want a sandy beach, Margate is twelve miles to the east, about a 2o-minute drive.

Whitstable has been in existence since before Roman times and is a lovely, old fishing town that still has a thriving harbour. The High Street and, in particular, Harbour Street, are filled with eateries, boutiques, artisan shops, galleries coffee houses and many interesting independents.

For the energetic among you, the promenade would allow you to walk or cycle from Faversham right round to Eastbourne and beyond in Sussex, via the Saxon Shore Way. It is flat nearly all the way.

Herne Bay is a Victorian seaside resort, popular with watercraft users and skiers. It’s High Street has a number of well-know stores and lots of cafes. It has a promenade with arcades, the oldest clock tower  in the world and Neptune’s Arm; a man-made harbour providing shelter for small watercraft. There is a good children’s play area on the sea front and another in the Memorial Park just off the town centre.

The cathedral city of Canterbury has a busy shopping centre and lots of historical sites, from the magnificent cathedral to the underground Roman bath exhibition. The Dane John Gardens by the city wall often host events in the summer. There is an excellent Park and Ride scheme with three large out of town car parks that have buses running every 20 minutes.

Further west is Faversham, home of the Shepherd Neame brewery. Faversham is a delightful market town with a wide array of eclectic independent shops.
