We recently purchased this prime seafront located caravan at Hoburne Blue Anchor 10 mins from. The van is overlooking the sea and, in the distance, the South Wales coast line. The mostly shale some sand beach at blue anchor is dog friendly all year round. The surrounding area has an abundance of beauty & history.
Michael and I have had the van for 4 seasons. We have many returning customers and we love to share this amazing luxury caravan and ensure you have a relaxing holiday that you will remember for years to come.
You will be find a welcome tray waiting for you on arrival consisting of Milk, Tea, Coffee and Sugar, all you will need to do boil the kettle and chill. Let the fun commence……………..
Our van is a fully equipped 6 berth caravan comprising of a King Size master-bedroom with toilet on suite complete with Free view TV/DVD player, a twin/double bedroom and a spring-based double pull out bed in lounge. We provide ample pillows and quilts for all guests. All mattresses/pillows are covered with water proof protection. Bed linen and tea/towels are provided where you will find beds made ready for your arrival. We would appreciate you providing your own beach towels. There is also a travel cot complete with bedding and a bed guard. All we ask is that should something be accidentally broken/or brakes you will let us know so as we can replace allowing the incoming guests the same comfort as you.
There is Free view TV/DVD player in the lounge. There is also a variety of board games/playing cards for older children and adults, a small selection of DVDs, colouring books and crayons to keep the little ones occupied. Also being near the sandy beach you will find buckets and spades for young and old to enjoy.
The van is situated on the sea front and has a front facing decking hosting new garden furniture set and sun parasol. The decking also runs along the full side of the caravan. At the end of a busy day on the beach or sightseeing, there is nothing better than relaxing on the decking, eating al fresco accompanied by a favourite bottle of wine or tipple. Watching the tide come and go, taking in the fantastic sun sets, watching the fishermen or just generally the world go by.
Throughout the day you can hear the steam trains chuffing and whistling merrily along. The train can take you on a scenic route to Minehead, where you will find a wonderful sandy beach, various shops, bars, restaurants etc and sea side amusements. Or you might just decide to stop off at the small harbour town of Watchet with its quaint shops, museum, the esplanade, numerous pubs, small cafes and bars. This is also where you can find the main bus service to various locations including Taunton. Then jump back on the train to Bishops Lydeard before returning to Blue Anchor.
For those of you who like walking, you can walk along the coastal path to Dunster and Minehead. If you were to drive to Minehead and beyond you will find the gateway to Exmoor, you will go through the small fishing village of Pollock pass through the famous Lorne Doone valley arriving at Lynmouth and Lynton where you will be able to visit their museum and read the devasting history that surrounds the town. A cream tea is a must where ever you decide to take a wander.
Back at Blue Anchor just a short walk to the left of the site you will find the Driftwood seafront cafe and to the right the Smugglers Inn offering freshly cooked meals through the day. There is also Cafe H on site which has a small shop selling essential items and serves a selection of scrumptious snacks and cakes, along with freshly brewed coffee and tea.
Also, on site there are leisure facilities such as a gym, sauna/steam room and an indoor heated swimming pool entry fee is applicable, or passes may be purchased at an additional cost. These allow you unlimited entry throughout your stay. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT DURING THE HIGH SEASON PASSES ARE PURCHASED. The site does not accept walk in customers to pool during these times. Please request at time of booking. In addition, there is adventure golf (fee applicable) and an adventure playground.
Hoburne Blue Anchor offers a relaxing family, friends or couples and of course not forgetting you beloved pet dogs holiday. We only live 20 minutes down the road but when available we stay at the caravan, it allows us to recharge our batteries and feel a million miles away.
From Easter to late September there is a car boot sale every Wednesday and Saturday (weather permitting) on the Home Farm field next to the Smugglers Inn. So, if it’s a bargain your looking for then look no further.
