About the Property

Special offer 3 nights £290 during May.

Serenity has an enclosed decking area suitable for dogs and parking area for 2 cars next to the lodge. We aim to be as eco-friendly as possible and so provide eco-friendly cleaning products/dish washer tablets/laundry soap and personal soap for our guests. Beds are ready made for your arrival and hand, bath and tea towels are provided. (Please bring your own towels for the beach/swimming pool). A BBQ is available at the lodge along with some outdoor games equipment and outdoor seating.

Our privately-owned lodge provides everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break away from your busy life. The lodge is situated on the west coast of Cumbria, surrounded by beautiful views of the lake, sea and mountains. It is a walkers paradise and we therefore accept 2 well behaved dogs).

We have priced the lodge breaks as weekly and Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday. We are, however flexible with our letting dates, so if you wish alternative start dates please contact us for prices and availability. There is a minimum of 2 nights policy at the lodge.

The lodge has 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 with 3 twin bedrooms. In the main bedroom however, the single beds are close together and can easily be used as a double. The fully equipped kitchen includes a full size freezer and fridge, dishwasher and washing machine (dishwasher tablets, washing powder and cleaning products are supplied) along with all essentials e.g. toaster and tableware, a dining room with extending table and 6 chairs.

A living room with a smart TV and electric fire plus a corner suit and 1 arm chair and 1 wicker chair make it the perfect place to rest and relax. The lodge also has 2 bathrooms, 1 of which is a Jack and Jill to the main bedroom with a shower and toilet and the other with a bath, shower over bath and toilet.

The lodge has patio doors opening up to an enclosed decking which stretches from the main door to the front of the lodge allowing you to eat outside on the outdoor table and an outdoor 3 piece suite for relaxing in the great outdoors.

Gas and electric are included. Beds are made up for you arrival with duck down duvets and pillows. Towels and tea towels are also included. Please bring your own towels for the beach and local swimming pool. A variety of board games and books are available in the lodge, and a BBQ and outdoor games in a storage shed outside.

The park itself houses water sports on the lake with a new inflatable  water park (prices not included), fly fishing and a play park for children. The RSPB Hodbarrow Nature Reserve just a 5-minute walk (a dog walkers paradise). At Butter Flowers, Haverigg there is a swimming pool for public use and a laundrette.

Only a 15 minutes’ drive away is one of our personal favourite beaches at Silecroft. The unique village of Ulverston is just a 40 minute drive with lots of lovely places to eat (we suggest trying Naaz, an Indian cuisine).
Lake Coniston is a 50 minute drive and Lake Windermere just over an hour or if you prefer a quieter lake then Wast Water is only 50 minutes from the park.

If you like trains and the railway Ravenglass is a great place to go with only a 30 minute drive, a great pub we recommend; The Ratty Arms and a small gauge steam railway, also Millom has a train station going from Preston to Carlisle via Whitehaven; this, we find, is a lovely train ride, with Carlisle being a great place to shop and Whitehaven having a great harbour for crabbing and also several streets of shops both unique and chain. Barrow is a 50 minute drive and a fantastic place to go for shopping, it has its own market and theatre which is worth checking out.

If you just enjoy a ride out or looking at breath taking mountainous views there is The Hardknott Pass or The Wrynose Pass, both of which are beautiful, or if you’re feeling more energetic try climbing the Scafell Pike which is less than an hours drive away. Or have a round of golf at Silecroft or try out the heavy horses with a gallop on the beach.

Millom has a wide selection of different cuisines; Indian, Chinese, Fish and Chips etc. Da Vinci Restaurant is highly recommended. We also recommend Naaz at Ulverston and The Ratty Arms at Ravenglass, as previously mentioned. If you like steak the King Billy at KirkSanton should not be missed.

These are only a few suggestions and there will be many more leaflets and recommendations in the Lodge upon your stay.
