About the Property

Moonseeker is a beautifully converted milking parlour, part of a medieval farmstead, tucked away from main roads in a secluded location.  Ideal for nature lovers and lovers of stargazing!  Yet just 1.5 miles away you will find all the amenities of the market town of Okehampton and the A30 is easy to reach so that you can explore all that Devon has to offer, with easy day trips into Cornwall.

The cottage is reached via an unmade farm track, which can sometimes be bumpy, so please drive slowly.  Inside is a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary style.  Moonseeker has been lovingly converted to provide a cosy home from home.  The cottage sleeps up to 4 people in 2 ensuite bedrooms, one with a superking bed (twin on request) and the other a king sized bed.  Both ensuite shower rooms have power showers .

The kitchen and lounge are open plan and there is underfloor heating throughout the cottage.  In the lounge the woodburner is easy to use, and the first basket of logs are included in your stay. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.

The kitchen is very well equipped, with range style cooker (gas), microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine & and espresso maker (ground coffee – initial supply provided).

Outside, the garden is fully enclosed and 99.9% pet escape proof!  Garden table and chairs are provided as well as a BBQ (we can supply kindling for this, but charcoal is available locally at the supermarkets or garages).  To the front is a small enclosed area with a muddy boot/paw wash.

Our minimum age for children is 8 years and over.  Babes in arms welcome.

We welcome multiple pets at £25 each and may be able to pet mind for a short while if you need to pop to the shops or have a special meal out where paws aren’t welcome.
