The scenic North Coast is a mere 30 minutes drive away where you can visit the beautiful Whiterocks beach, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle all of which have become a favourite for locals and international visitors. From the town of Ballycastle (22 miles away) you can board a boat to the idyllic Rathlin Island.
You can enjoy an afternoon exploring the towns of Portrush and Portstewart with the famous Whitehouse department store for shopping. The are also fine restaurants and wine bars should you wish to sample the local cuisine.
Royal Portrush Golf Club which is home to one of the best and most challenging links golf courses in the world is also situated in Portrush and was the only club in Ireland that played host to the Open championship.
