A Beautiful cottage with HOT-TUB and sea views.
Sleeps 4/5, this was once a Fisherman’s Cottage for over two hundred years
It has now been re-furbished to a very high standard.
Beautiful well-kept large gardens to the front and rear. Driveway with ample parking for two cars.
Located 100 metres from the beach at Thurnham Moss / Cockerham Sands. Close to the estuary of the river Lune and south-end of Morecambe Bay with views across Morecambe Bay, the Lake District Mountains and the Forest of Bowland. A very secluded and peaceful position three miles from the main road. Surrounded by horses, sheep and cows.
We are at the beginning of a seven-mile coastal walkway with Cocker Sands Abbey only ¼ mile away. Close by is Glasson Dock where you can buy “Smoked Fish” from their “Smoke House” or watch the yachts sailing in through the lock into the marina with its swing-bridge.
The dock is still used by a handful of small cargo vessels which can often be seen coming in and out at high tide. This area is steeped in history with Thurnham Hall once owned by the Dalton family at the end of our lane, the castle at Lancaster where witches were brought from Pendle Hill to meet their fate at Lancaster assizes.
It is rumoured that cottages along this coast were once used for smuggling which might explain our window being halfway up the staircase overlooking the sea.
Our cottage is ECO friendly with a ground-source heat pump and Solar Panels. Most special requirements can be catered for.
*Please ask about our special breaks (i.e.) Honeymoon, engagement, valentines, anniversary or birthday all with a bottle of Prosecco and beautiful handmade chocolates. *

Lovely quiet location with open countryside views towards the Lake District and coast. The cottage is only a couple of minutes walk from the coastal path. Lots of birds, horses and cows.
Very well appointed and comfortable cottage which is immaculately clean. Great attention has been given to making it feel 'Covid safe'. We stayed over Christmas and the cottage was beautifully decorated for us including a tree.
Veronica and Alan are extremely helpful and friendly. We hope to return.
Loved our stay in Bank House Cottage. Cottage was clean and well maintained with plenty of towels included and everything that we needed.
Hot tub had a lovely view and we enjoyed watching the horses and cows in the field next door. Lovely coastal walk just a couple of minutes away.
Veronica was very prompt in her messages and a good host - even arranging some flowers, balloons and chocolate at the very last minute for an anniversary.
